Coital Fitness: Is it too good to be true?

This article talks about coitus. Enough of your brouhaha, today is the most romantic day of the year:

Valentine's Day.

And what, I hear you ask, is the relevance of that nugget of information to the theme of this blog?

Well, I am glad you asked. One of the side effects of romance is, supposedly, sexual activity. Especially when everyone is feeling all romantic on Valentine's Day. And sexual activity is most certainly a form of exercise.

Sex does burn calories. And it can burn a lot. According to Time Magazine, an average sex session burns 101 calories for men and 69 (cheeky) for women. That's pretty good. I'm by no means saying that this is superior to running. A similar length session on the treadmill will burn 276 calories for men and 213 for women. See exhibit A below.

But, crucially, coitus provides significantly more fun than running. The data below, done through extensive independent research, proves this beyond doubt.

In summary, Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to get your Extracise on, as sex most certainly counts.
